October 18th 2006, Frank J Plut Arrested!
On October 18th 2006, Frank J Plut was arrested by the Kidney Foundation of Canada in the roundup for research. In the fundraising event Frank successfully made his bail set at $800 and raised over $1,800 for the Kidney Foundation of Canada. Microsoft Outlook is a powerful tool for managing email, appointments, contacts, and tasks. For those of us who rely on it, even if only for email, a sudden loss of that information could be critical. For many of us, our email is our lifeline to our business; therefore, it is important to make regular backups in case of a hardware or software failure.
If your organization is using Outlook in the context of Exchange Server, your message store and profile are being stored on the server, in which case, the regular daily server backups will be saving your data. However, if you are using Outlook with personal folders on your local machine, your message store and other Outlook data is being saved locally. If your workstation crashes, due to a hardware or software failure, you are at risk of losing all of your Outlook information.
Fortunately, Microsoft provides a simple solution to ensure that your Outlook data is backed up. A backup utility can be installed and configured on your workstation to make a copy and store data from your personal folders each time you exit Outlook. This copy of your personal folders is backed up daily on the regular server backup and can be restored incase of failure.
